JackSmith

"Wait until he experiences what another focused, just prosecution feels like, with a conviction attached"
It would not surprise me even a little bit if our over-the-top flamboyant incumbent was done in by a humble civil servant named JackSmith. Anonymity incarnate, a career prosecutorial investigator, veteran of a long posting to The Hague. A man without a political axe to carry or grind, a relative innocent who never lost his faith in truth, justice, or even the recently beleaguered American Way. It will be a very cold day in Hell before anyone successfully tarnishes his reputation. He respectfully declines to be led to slaughter by a hapless Senator out to make a name for himself. He appears with gratitude to report that his investigation, the one that crooked judge in Florida sidelined on party lines, found clear evidence that our incumbent broke the law when trying to overturn a free and fair election, and that he was undoubtedly guilty of multiple felonies, including but not limited to the January 6th attacks on our Capitol. The rest is history.
His testimony came across as absolutely unimpeachable, unlike our incumbent, who appears to have committed more than a few additional impeachable offenses before he was even elected a second time. This was not a weaponization of government, but the opposite. The kangaroo court the Senate convened to embarrass JackSmith backfired and left our incumbent with newly validated ugly black marks on his already tarnished record. There will be no vindication for our incumbent, and no impending prosecution against JackSmith, whose reputation looks even more stellar than it had been before, especially when stood up opposite the felon who commuted all the January sixth rioters’ sentences.
He had to overstep and slip into his own haphazardly constructed trap. One never successfully tarnishes any Boy Scout with such inept woodcraft. He saw this betrayal coming from more than a mile away, and he arrived ready. He came armed with The Truth, something rarely seen when the incumbent’s minions appear to testify on Capitol Hill. He brought no convoluted story or fresh interpretation of anybody’s Constitution. He brought devastating information for all those convinced the incumbent’s opposition are rubes. It was a fool’s mission even to attempt to embarrass such an experienced prosecutor. He knows how perpetrators think: they don’t always even try to think at all, and he understands how little truth it takes to deflate their hopeful, naive attempts to undermine justice. He would never become anybody’s scapegoat, especially anybody as inherently inept as these clowns.
Comeuppance comes in many guises, some more flashy than others. The likeliest one to bring down our incumbent should properly seem to be his polar opposite. Invulnerable to public opinion. Not needy for attention like our incumbent has always been. He’s never been anybody’s victim, and it seems unlikely anyone can wound him now. He warmly welcomes the irrelevant questions and answers in ways that leave his inquisitor speechless. He doesn’t break a sweat when some clown from Missouri calls him a dirtbag, because he recognizes the sound of desperation when he hears it, and it doesn’t rattle him. He’s been in tougher situations than this one, cross-examining a genuine monster without getting in the least bit rattled. He doesn’t take such things personally because he represents all jurisprudence, not just the passing fancy of some nobody who failed by getting himself illicitly elected President.
Or, these latest revelations will evaporate off the front page, as so many other, some much worse, revelations have disappeared before. Our incumbent inhabits an impeachment-rich environment. Between his incessant SelfSabotaging and his continued Escalating, he’s creating fresh impeachments on quite literally a daily basis. The list of particulars grows continually, seemingly exponentially. The question might be how anyone will ever manage to winnow down the legion of offenses into a relatively clean indictment, and someone with JackSmith’s experience might be able to help an impeachment committee with that chore. It seems certain that if the next attempt to remove our incumbent from the office he probably stole fails, enough potential indictments will remain to fuel a nearly infinite number of additional attempts. He complains of feeling unjustly persecuted. Wait until he experiences what another focused, just prosecution feels like, with a conviction attached.
